Fishery Wharf 10 year Celebrations

Our 10 Year Celebration
August 2015
July 2025

In August this year, it will be 10 years since we placed a small A-board out on the canal, made a
Facebook page and opened the doors on our little Red Gazebo to welcome our first customers to
Fishery Wharf Cafe.
Over the years we have grown from strength to strength, with a few stumbling blocks, learning
curves, tears, love and laughter along the way!
We have served up countless bacon butties, lattes and delicious fresh food, hosted concerts,
festivals, markets and events, offering a place for our community to feel safe and seen, welcomed
and warm and we are so incredibly grateful to all those who have been part of the journey, from
team members past and present, all our of customers and all the musicians, poets, comedians,
makers and creators that have bought their own blend of magic to Fishery Wharf Cafe.
We have so many stories to share from how Fishery Wharf came to be, our humble beginnings
and the years that have passed as a local hub for our community.
However, we would love to invite you to be part of the story sharing and to join us over the late
August Bank holiday for some typical fishery wharf mayhem and magic in celebration of our 10
years of being, along the banks of the Boxmoor canal.
Do you have a story about Fishery Wharf Cafe? A favourite memory, a best concert, or even a
question that you’ve always wanted to know about our little cafe and how it came to be?
If, so, we would love to hear your thoughts, comments, memories and questions, and welcome
pictures of your time here over the years, of which we will weave into the stories that emerge and
are shared over the week long celebration.
So even if you can’t make the weekend, you can still be part of it and enjoy our sharing online
throughout the year.

Our programme of events begin on Wednesday 20th August - Wednesday 27th.
